Navigating adolescence can be a challenging and confusing time, not just for teens but for their families as well.
As a parent, you might notice changes in your teen that are difficult to understand—withdrawal from activities they once loved, persistent sadness, heightened anxiety, or a sudden decline in academic performance. In today’s “always on” yet disconnected culture, these struggles can feel overwhelming, leaving teens and their families searching for answers and solutions.
Despite these difficulties, there is hope.
Adolescents have a remarkable capacity for growth and resilience, especially when they receive the right support. My goal is to provide a therapeutic environment where teens can explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and build a strong foundation for their future. By focusing on their strengths and potential, I aim to help them gain a sense of control and hope for their journey ahead.
For almost 14 years I have had the joy of providing treatment to teens.
I take a holistic approach to therapy, addressing not just the symptoms but the root causes of the challenges they face.
In my practice, I take a holistic approach to therapy, addressing not just the symptoms but the root causes of the challenges teens face. This involves earning their trust, setting achievable goals, and exploring the underlying patterns that may contribute to their struggles. I consider all aspects of their well-being, including physical health, brain chemistry, and emotional state.
Through various treatment approaches—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, attachment theory, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)/Intensive Memory Therapy (IMTT)—I work to help teens uncover the root causes of their pain. We explore patterns of thought and behavior, identify triggers, and develop practical tools for managing stress and anxiety.
Each session is a step toward building resilience, self-esteem, and a more positive outlook on life.
